Santoku

About Us

Santoku is a first of its kind in West Africa. The design is influenced by Eastern philosophy and combines ancient culinary customs with contemporary cuisine and service. Opened on 14 June 2012, the restaurant, bar and lounge, private dining room and terrace offer a menu crafted by the team behind London’s Nobu in surroundings designed by interior architect Hubert de Givenchy, Paris.

The menu offers a contemporary Japanese sharing concept where many dishes lean on the smaller side, and diners are encouraged to order two or three per person and share. Dishes are brought to the table as soon as they are ready, and sharing ensures restaurants have a wide and varied tasting experience selected from across the whole menu. Santoku’s chefs introduce Western flavours to traditional Japanese cooking techniques and, as far as possible, source local, Ghanaian seasonal produce. Food is presented on specially commissioned handmade Japanese earthenware, glass crockery in over 25 different styles, and Ghanaian wooden bowls.
